My name is Benny and I live in Germany. If you would ask me, what I think about the most in my day to day life, I would probably say my political and philosophical view of the world. You know, how people often say: I don’t wanna be controversial, BUT…
Well, I do wanna be controversial and I stand by it. I believe, that billionaires shouldn’t exist, that our economy needs radical reform to be more democratic and that we can achieve a great living standards for everyone, just by redistributing all wealth fairly. In short, I am a communist, socialist however you would like to call it.
Other than that, I am a big tech nerd, I absolutely love Open Source, coding and self hosting. In fact, the site, you are on right now is hosted through WordPress, which is Open Source on my Raspberry Pi 4B, which runs Linux, tunneled through Newt to my Pangolin on my VPS. So every part of this chain is Open Source and self hosted (or at least the hosting is fully managed by me).
Why do I love Open Source so much? Well, always remember folks:
Yeah, but other than that I am a pretty normal guy. I still go to school, but I am graduating in one year. In my free time, I like to play video games, watch movies, talk to friends, code and I am an active boys scout at my local organization, although we have people of all genders, so I guess it’s just scouts. Other than that, I really enjoy travel, nature and hiking.
